A few days ago, I posted something on Facebook that resonated with my friends, so I’m going to expand on that idea and share some insight with you. My “words of wisdom” came as a result of some unforeseen changes that took place and were completely, 100% out of my control. As soon as they happened, I felt like a ship without a sail, but I made some adjustments and mindset changes and found peace again. And you can too.
- Keep your vibe and your frequency high. When everything fell apart, I still found things to keep my energy high, instead of allowing them to drag me under and feel like a failure. I acknowledged the elephant in the room that had suddenly decided to take up residence in my brain. I let her relax for a few and take a mud bath, but I made sure to escort her right out as soon as she decided she was going to take a to nap in my bed. No missy…you have got to go! Once Mrs. Ellie Phant (thankyouverymuch) was out of my brain, I had time to meditate and reflect on all the amazing things in my life. Which leads me to….
- Find the silver lining. Okay, let me be real lovelies, when this incident occurred, I was sitting on the beach drinking a beer. Did I need to check myself? YEP! Not only did I use this opportunity to be reminded of all the things in my life I have to be grateful for, I used it to my advantage. So, Number 3…
- Get out of your own way! When bad things happen and you’ve taken the time to re-center yourself (whatever and however that looks like for you) and you are grateful for all the wonderful blessings in your life, here’s what you do next. GET. OUT. OF. THE. WAY! Seriously, let the universe (or God or spirit or whatever you believe in) take a turn in the fast lane and move over! Something is happening up ahead of you that you can’t see and the universe is making a way for you. MOVE. Then…
- Watch the magic happen. This, my friends, is your reward for getting through the hard things. Watching the magic happen is like watching snowflake shaped pieces fall from the sky and magically align themselves into a jigsaw puzzle. You thought it was impossible until you watched it unfold before you and now you’re a believer.
But wait! It’s not over…not really anyway. Hate to break it to you friends, but this isn’t a one-hit wonder. THIS is a shampoo bottle…lather, rinse and repeat. Sometimes, it gets easier. Sometimes, you get soap in your eyes. But either way, you never stop washing your hair and you never stop needing to follow the steps. I was lucky enough to get through all the steps in one evening, but sometimes, it takes me months to get from step 1 to step 2. I never said this bit of wisdom was easy, just worth it.
And the best part? We are here to support you and love on you through all of it. Come on over to my VIP Group and let us know how we can encourage and help you along the way.
Until next time!
